As demand grew at its Lathrop, Calif., distribution center, Prism Logistics needed to increase throughput while making better use of existing space and labor resources. Traditional floor and rack storage limited capacity, while repetitive pallet handling consumed valuable operator time that could be better directed toward high-value workflows.

Solution
Prism partnered with Raymond and its authorized Solutions & Support Center to deploy the Radioshuttle® semi-automated pallet shuttle system. Designed to maximize vertical storage density and reduce repetitive travel, the solution enables operators to induct pallets at the system’s front while the shuttle automatically completes putaway and retrieval. This targeted use of automation allows Prism to optimize space utilization and operator productivity.
